Our Board Certified Specialist

Dr. Lynn A. McCarron is a certified member of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) in canine and feline practice. 

The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners was established in 1978 by the American Veterinary Medical Association to certify practitioners with exceptional knowledge, skill and competency in the care of the total patient. Diplomates of the ABVP have made a significant commitment to continuing education, and are focused on delivering the highest quality care integrating every aspect of your pet’s health, including medical and surgical needs.  To achieve this certification, a veterinarian must undergo a minimum of six years of veterinary practice and complete a rigorous application which includes two case reports, references, descriptions of practice procedures, and professional education records.  This is followed by an extensive two-day examination. 

Dr. McCarron accomplished this goal in 1996, and successfully re-certified in 2006.  She is one of only few currently practicing ABVP Diplomates in Utah.
